    Anyone ever use GoToMyPC.com?

    Trying to get some work done while on the road. Anyone ever use it, or anything like it. Does it work well?

    Will I be able to edit files (photos, videos) from my laptop using my host computer?
    SIG TOO BIG! Maximum 120x60 button and no more than 3 text lines of DEFAULT SIZE and COLOR. Unless your sig is for a GFY top banner sponsor, then you may use a 624x80 instead of a 120x60.

    Yes, I use it. Great for e-mail and such. I like it but I wouldn't do photo editing on the host.

      yep. It actually works quite well. A little slow but not so bad you can't get anything done. You can do anything from your laptop just as you were on your home computer.

            If you use windows XP and you're on your own laptop you can use a built in windows function to access both PCs.

            Its called remote desktop connection. You can find it in:

            Start --> Programs --> Accessories --> Communications

            You have to setup you rhome computer to accept the connections but its pretty easy. And its free

            If you donw use winxp or 2000 though I dont think it'll work.

              from what i read it only works on XP PRO, tryed using remote desktop already on XP home version, dont work.

                I am looking at this one, too: mywebexpc.com

                Seems to be more secure.

                        It's okay. Real VNC is better. Specially for mutliple submissions, multi-server data correlation jobs, and multi-IP block-based advertising.

                          yep ... ULTRAvnc ROCKS !!!!

                          I am travelling back and forthe from US to Canada alot, and ULTRAvnc and www.mail2web.com are 2 things you cannot be without!

                          The only downfall is it does not scroll dual monitors (which I use) as nicely as real vnc does .... but file transfers is so much nicer than having to open up FTP and upload and then download ...

                            Also VNC is great for P2P advertising management using clusters of remote servers. We have over 60+ servers here at both of our offices and we only use VNC.
