co.uk domains - how do you rate them value-wise?

I'm curious, how do guys rate the value of co.uk domains as compared to .com, .net, and .org ??

Seems it's one of the more popular country-specific tld's.

    thanks,

    -Phil

Personally, I rate them at about 5-10% of a .com. Unfortunately, UK folk genuinely arent yet as comfortable with divulging cc details online although it does seem to be shifting. However my typein .co.uk's dont pull anything like the ratios of the .coms if you were comparing "pound for pound" to coin a bit of boxing parlance.

For promotions within UK and UK only, .co.uk is just as strong as .com.

To promote a product/service to others, outside the UK on .co.uk would be extremely foolish in most cases.

The domains themselves do hold some value, when extremely generic.

You clearly have no idea about spending by UK consumers online.

we have a few and get good success rates when combining uk based traffic and a uk based billing option. Plus alot of UK comps go for the .co.uk. Seems pretty strong to me from the UK and even certain parts of the EU.

Whilst you might put your faith in polls and surveys I go by the earnings. You might have noted the "appears to be shifting" part, this is based on earnings and trends over the past few years. I am quite confident in my statement thanks.

So your own earnings form the basis of the whole of the UK spending?
