5,000 dead mosquitos (pics)

I cleaned out my Mosquito Magnet the other day and replaced the cartridge. When I looked at the old cartridge I saw thousands of dehydrated mosquitos that this thing had collected over the last 3 weeks.

Of course I had to take some pics. They are not the best shots but you get the idea

Without the explanation that photo is ripe to interpretation.

Those mosquito magnets work great. Is yours one of the ones that uses LP gas to create carbon dioxide to attract them? I've heard they work great.

Glad to see you had success. I hate mosquitos so much. Last year we bought two of those mosquito magnets and the first one worked so poorly I just gave up and the second one still sits in its original box in my garage.

Its rained like three weeks straight in Miami so now is a good time I guess for me to get that box out of the garage and try again.

ok so how can ya say 5000??
did you count them 1 by 1??
or like some mathematical equation taking into consideration the weight.. size.. length of the mosquitos and then the same for trap and see how much volume it would hold???

ps. I just saw what I wrote.. and DAMN!! I need somethign to do today.. bored out of my mind. Think gonna go into office and find me something to do before heading out to party with drunk french women tonight!

Yeah mine uses propane and electric to harvest them. It's my second year and I think it makes a HUGE impact.

I have 10 acres and a large pond and forest so we get plenty every year. I may buy another one because this thing is working so well I think it needs another on the other side of my yard.

They come with a stick that puts off the smell of human blood over and above the Co2. There are always dozens of mosquitos flying around the thing trying to figure out how to get in. They all do evenetually

Awesome I also live on a lake and the mosquitos are horrible. The bats get a lot, but getting one of those magnets might be a good idea for me.

those magnets are bloody expensive but I heard they work awesome. They obviously do considering these pictures. Supsoedly one of them can clear mosquitos from a few yards if placed right. I should talk with my neighbors and see if they would be willing to chip in. Might actually be able to enjoy the ayrd this summer with one of them. The flies eat you alive here at night.

I think I see like 1 mosquito each summer in my sleeping room.

I hate 'em and chase them until I have found it. It's fuckiing annoying, the buzzing.

Put a pond in your yard too. They lay their larva in there and the fish eat it.

I haven't tried it yet, but I'd like to put a few African Butterfly Fish in there. They float at the surface and grab insects that land on the water to drink. This may be even more effective than a catcher device.
