I have sent this to every email address I could find, as well, but I wanted to be sure that someone saw this ASAP and hoped you might monitor the boards.....

For those that do not know me, my name is Tony Morgan and I own NationalNet. While 2257 does not DIRECTLY affect a web host like me, it is very important for the industry so I would like to offer some assistance over the next 48 hours in accepting new members into the FSC. I have read today in numerous threads on the boards that people are having trouble getting through to join the FSC. I totally understand that you could have *never* anticipated such a large increase in sign up volume so this problem was completely unavoidable. I, however, have a 24 Hour Staff and enough phones to help receive new memership sign ups and would like to donate that to you. We would not be able to answer many questions, of course, but we could take down membership information, run credit cards, or any number of other things to allow you to concentrate on more important issues. If you would like for me to put out the word that people seeking to join can call us, then I will go public with it and I am sure that I could get all of the major webmaster boards and lists to do a mailing tomorrow, as well. Let me know if I can help.

It took 25 times to fax our membership information over. It was busy each time, but I finally got through. However, they haven't deducted it from our card yet, so I hope their fax machine wasn't out of paper.

I was told by someone shortly after I posted this offer that the rumor is that they have some type of phone bank already lined up it is just not working yet.....we will see, but my offer still stands and I hope to hear from someone from the FSC soon because we could start immediately if they catch me before I go to bed tonight

I'm guessing that's the problem. The processors we deal with are for adult and therefore their systems are set up to charge accordingly (including higher fees set by Visa/MC/banks). I'm sure it would be a LOT cheaper for the FSC to get their own processing.
