Think about it! You join and are put on a "special list". This is the list of the first websites URLS to be viewed to see if they might or might not be compliant! It is a way to get people to volunteer their sites. Better to remain anonymous for now, they can easily get this list and don't have to work at all

Like I said they have no way of knowing whether you are a US webmaster or not, short of sending SPAM email to every adult domain the whois registry, many even use whois privacy. The new regs are so unclear, I've read the complaint by FSC, there is ALOT of problems with it and DOJ knows it. Try enforcing something so riddled with holes.

actually membership in fsc is not at all clear. suppose i have a dozen sites, I can still sign up for another type of membership for just $300 and get my and/or company name on their list. It doesn't say ANYWHERE that the list is to protect PER URL but rather per individual or corporate OWNER. So if the DOJ prosecutes they will say, please see if John Doe is on the list, they don't care how many urls he/she has.

actually if you read the fsc press release, if they don't win, you are RETROACTIVELY liable for any hardcore on your site that has no model releases, even if you ARE a FSC member. So basically, anything short of them winning, if you have a single hardcore pic without records after June 23, 2005, it still doesn't protect you!
