I can't believe everyone is voting for Elise! yea they are nice little things but they are no where need as powerfull as a porsche or anything they have the same engine my little MGF has! get a boxster its like twice as powerfull

got less power but weigh nothing, why does everyone thing its all in the HP, The Elise had a better track time the the Z-06, that says something in my book. Plus you put a turbo on it and it will have more power then all of the other cars with ease.

when the elsies came out, they were 40+ k, plus a 20k holding fee.

i think there is still a demand high enough to raise the price 12+k.

ask around ... your 40k might turn out to be 55k for an elsie.

its the best car of the lot, but also might be one of the slowest. pussy over speed in this instance.

I was between these choices (minus the Benz) and I ended up with the Z. I'm happy with my choice, but we all have our personal tastes.

I own an elise, and I can't recommend it highly enough if you really love driving. It's hard to get into, but plenty big inside; I'm 6' 1" and don't even have to put the driver's seat all the way back, and with either the soft or hardtop on, there's plenty of room to wear a helmet.

It's an absolute blast to drive, much closer to a shifter kart than it is to any other car I've driven. It's faster than it feels; 4.4s 0-60 is pretty reasonable, and once you get to the higher end valve timing at 6200rpm, it's got quite a kick. And going around corners, well, it feels like a kart.

However, if you want a GT type car that's comforatble for long trips, has a killer stero, has cupholders and amenities like a glove compartment or power mirrors, this isn't the car for you.

in fact, i'd recommend it over all of those cars. it sits right between the boxster and the elise in terms of comfort and sharpness. i suppose that's why the yellow one is mine :)

the lotus may top out at 155, but it can do 90 degrees turns at 155 :)

Don't fuck around -- Get the Elise. It's basically a race car that somehow squeeked by the rules and managed to be certified street legal. Here's a little video of an Elise vs. Ferrari F40. The Elise probably put down less than 200hp at the wheels. Now if you're really serious with it, and don't want to lose on the street, you can take your Elise to my friends shop Autologic and they'll squeeze out well over 500hp at the wheels to your Elise. Over 700whp if you got the means. Imagine that in a 1900lbs platform.

I think the lotus is a nice car.

get the boxter

If you are looking for a fast car, the lotus would also be good for that.
