I've had 3 laser tattoo removal procedures for 1 tattoo. None of the treatments hurt but the tattoo is still partially there. The technician claims the remainder will fade over time but, after 7 months, it's still there. Luckily for me, since she quoted only 3 treatments for its removal and it is still there, any further treatments will be on their dime. These were her words, not mine.

A funny statistic is that the majority of people with a tattoo at some point consider getting it removed. Most do not, probably because of the cost involved.

Just goes to show you to be sure what you want.

I think a lot of people with today's fad tattoos will end up wanting them removed. Like that stupid barbed wire (or another band) around their bicep, or the big tribal style tattoos. UGH.

I completely agree with you. The one I'm removing was a huge mistake I made when I was 18. However, I have 2 other tattoos that I had done during my late 20's that I intend to keep.

I have that exact problem ... tribal around the arm .. big and then a fucked up Moon that was never finished ... I'm having the tribal worked out to be more unique and there covering the Moon with a Lotus flower that smokes up around a Buddha on the shoulder ... but my tat guy thinks i should have the tribal lasered a few times to lighten it so he can work over it better ... all my others I'm fine with but that one was 3am and at a buddies house that did work ..never get one just to have the work done because your bored ... there was no thought in that one ...

I'll see if i can find a pic of it ... it's bad ..
