killer idea..encrypted model pics/2257 requirements

so bang bros just announced that you can download all the 2257 docs/model info from their system.. encrypted... if you get investigated, you simply contact them and they give you a key to unlock it and show the feds or whatever.. which is killer because the data is secure even from the webmaster holding the doc files..

i would now have to phone 6 sponsors after the feds got there - i could see them maybe allowing me to call one or two, even though i'd already be non-compliant with the law by not having the stuff organized by name, but 6 calls? i doubt it...

I was wondering about that too. I'd be a bit concerned if a fed's knocking at my door and I'm making a bunch of phone calls.

Not only would you have to call to get a key, you have to hope someone answers the phone, then you have to hope to get ahold of a person that can actually provide the key, then you have to pray that the key works.

THEN, if you actually manage to get a working key, you have to hope the information is correct and matches the content. Webmasters have absolutely no way of proofing the documents to make sure they are correct... for all you know it could be a goatse picture after you get it unlocked.

Also, when you call to get a key, how do they verify you are a webmaster? How do they verify the feds are sitting there with you?

What a terrible idea...

We are talking about JAIL TIME people, you want to put your life in someone elses hands or your own?

It was a great idea, but they need to set up a system that allows you to get in with a third party company giving out the pass or something.

I still think its better then some magical Online Database, how is that physically on your computer?

and beemk, i wouldnt expect a 4am raid or anything by Government officials, but either way we are setup to deal with it.. You are in the same timezone as us in Miami, so you are easily covered 9am to 8pm, I will personally take your call.

you are in NO rush to provide the documents.
they have to show up during working hours, and you can make them wait while you fetch the documents.

nothing illegal in collecting your documents and bringing them to them. Unless they have a search warrant to look around, but I doubt that would be the case. They would be inspecting and asking for documents, not accusing you of CP and seizing computers.

You are correct, that is not a valid solution either. The only solution webmasters should consider, is hard copies of releases and IDs in their own hands. Nothing else.

i wasnt talking about you guys specifically. i was talking about if everyone starts doing it. ive seen many sponsors go down or have issues and someone couldnt get ahold of them with any method they tried, im just wondering how the government will be when you say "i cant get ahold of them right now why dont you come back tomorrow". i dont even promote bangbros any other way besides the hosted galleries, which wont affect me in any way with 2257 because they are compliant.
