I remember seeing a suburban once with one of those jet engines at a monster truck show..

they had to pull the front end up into the wall to just start the thing.... when they gave it a little juice, you could feel the ball of heat blow by you 200 yds away

That's an awesome video. I love drag racing. We make it out to the track here a few times a year and watch. Amazing how much power those cars push.

If you are ever near orlando check this place out. Probaly closet to getig in a dragster i will get. This ride has over 3,000 horse power and 4.5 g's. 0-110 in 2 seconds. I checked it out and rode it on are honeymoon. If anyone gets a chance to ride it go for it. Well worth the money

You should call them up and talk about a sponsorship deal (number on this page http://www.invaderjet.com/objective.htm ). The maintenance and upkeep on a jet dragster is pretty reasonable compared to other forms of drag racing. I'd bet if you were to plop down $10k on a sponsorship deal they would consider training you, and letting you take it out for a drive. And don't forget race team sponsorship is a TAX DEDUCTABLE advertising expense to boot!!!
