yahoo groups and 2257

so where does all this leave us with guys who have yahoo groups just for traffic promotion?

Do you have to keep all the records for those too?

Do you have to take off all the member submitted pics and vid clips?

If anybody has a clue, I'd like to hear your thoughts, or else I'll just close them all, damn shame to do that though.

Then again I'm not a Lawyer..

They wouldn't be any different if you had a site of your own. If you have hardcore you are going to have the docs. I'd stop letting memebrs sumit and I dump all that stuff. Pure link is all I would have. Make sure to tell them they can thank Bush for this.

most of the pics and clips are my submissions, but being yahoo

"it's non commercial usage," my understanding was it didn't apply to those.

If they have to get pulled, it's gonna be a long damn night.

Great half the legal opinions say, it's okay because it's not commercial, and it's yahoo's problem. The other half say, "Just in case, pull it all."

Anymore opinions , thought's, comments?

I'm going to take a long shot here, but I'd imagine a case for being a 'service provider' could come into play in the yahoo groups game...

I'm not a lawyer and I don't publish or post nude material...but, I'm curious if someone else were to post nude or 'explicit' material on one of my groups, wtf...

I am still thinking a 'service provider' argument could hold water, however probably MUCH SAFER to just disable the ability for members to post on your group, and put a notice up as to why...

. shrugs
