Anyone here build servers? I got a problem

Okay, I'm putting together a 2u machine... i built 3 other 1us (diff mobo / chasis) in the last couple of weeks but this one is being a pain

Supermicro X5DPA-GG mobo (dual processor mobo but I'm only using a single)
Supermicro SC823-R500RC chasis

Anyway, I have the correct memory (from crucial), the redundant power supplies are all seated in nicely and all of the power cables are run to the mobo (24pin and 8pin).

The problem is, when I turn it on (w/ mem or w/o) with NO cards in the machine, it just keeps beeping and wont stop until i turn off the machine.

I figured some of you hosting guys might have some experience with machines like this and may have had a similar problem in the past. I've contact supermicro, searched everywhere online and can't seem to find anythign that helps.

maybe i'm missing something. worth a shot

Search on the web for a hahahahahaha test result for the make and model of motherboard. The number of beeps indicate the error. Most likely you've got some kind of compatibility problem with the memory, but could be bad bios or another bad chip somewhere on the board.
