Use the command scp in the shell...

do a "man scp" to get the manual how to use it.

i have just tarred each site up, used FTP thru shell and moved it that way in the past, fast enough, but then you have to go thru and reorganize a bit, depending on the differences in the server config and setting permissions, etc.
