Need model releases - Had a melt down this morning.. where can I download

    Need model releases - Had a melt down this morning.. where can I download

    It's 9:20 am here and it is already starting out to be a bad day for me.

    Long story made short is we had an accident, lost a ton of paperwork and desktop computer.

    Unfortunately, all our model releases are destroyed. Including what was on the very toasted computer.

    I'm hoping to find the Free Speach Collition copy. But something like it will do. Is there a place I can download it?

              Google "Model Release" - don't plagerize, but construct one from amongst what you find.

              Hard to believe you don't have hard copies (like the copy that the models signed) or a back-up somewhere. Make sure you learn from this mistake - make copies, make back-ups.

                  To say that Paris has some problems with their electical systems is a bit of an understatement.

                  This morning my North American Desktop computer decided to make a grand exit. (Yes I had a surge protector and a 220 to 110 converter)

                  The computer decided to smolder and burn and this opened up the sprinkler system.

                  End result.

                  Everything toasted.

                      Keep hardcopies, weve got them both on the server (htaccess protected obviously), on my pc and hardcopies in the safe.

                              Thanks! There is good stuff there.

                              What the burning computer lost in data on the hard drive. The sprinkler system and fire department toasted the paperwork. And the CDs are everywhere and I'm going to have hours to sort this mess out.

                              For the time being it will just be easier to have new stuff. And we really should get 2257 compliant if we are going to sell to the united states.

                                      And the backups would be on the CDs that are scattred, stepped on and all over the place. As I said, I have a mess to clean up.

                                          Why not just email your attorney and ask them to send you another copy?

                                              Well, if you have a real backup process this would be easily handled by your off-site copy. Too many times people think that just because they backup data to a CD that they are backing up against hardware failure when in reality they should be backing up to protect themselves against any kind of physical catastrophe. I feel bad for you because it's a painful way for you to learn the lesson that off-site backups are a necessity. Everyone using a computer for business should have a disaster recovery plan and follow it.

                                              Just think of all of the thousands of businesses that have been affected by Katrina... I'd be willing to bet that 98 percent of them didn't have a disaster recovery plan or backups.

                                              I wish I was there to make a shitload of money recovering people's data for them.

                                                  But if you would like to pay him to draft up custom forms for us, then we would be very grateful to you.

                                                  Otherwise, I think we can muddle through without him.

                                                  As for the back up and data disaster recovery.

                                                  You're absolutely right. The best thing would have been to keep another copy off-premise. Unfortunately we didn't do that.

                                                  And to be honest, the adult industry only makes up about 10% to 15% of our income. So I guess we don't take it as seriously as we should. And to be honest, we did our required "time" in Los Angeles for several years. (Yes did it full-time)

                                                  Now it is more of a just enjoy it for what it is.
