There is about an 80" difference in length, an a 90" difference in wingspan, a 25" difference in tail height, 4000 feet^3 difference in cargo space, etc.

Amazing you didn't see anything that looked like a 747 on the local gas station video...

I know it did because I saw the film before it was confiscated. The Jet was low and level, not any higher than a semi truck. It was really weird to see how the plane just disappeared, almost like it had flown through the walls like a ghost. You could see the nose hit, then everything followed untill the last thing you see is the tail simply vanishing into the building. Its happened so quickly that the plane was completly gone before the explosion was seen.

There have been so many omissions and we have been told so many lies about 911, Afghanistan and Iraq, it is hardly suprising that the "conspiracy theorists" are having a field day. They don't bother me, but what does is that so few people have insisted on an explanation for why it was apparently deemed necessary to cover up so much about what was such a very public tragedy.

Then there is the timeline of events. In April 2001 talks broke down with the Taliban about an oil pipeline through Afghanistan. In July and August 2001, US troop buildups take place within striking distance of Afghanistan. Then we get the events of September 11th which are immediately blamed on a terrorist group based in - spot the coincidence - Afghanistan.

Heaven knows that different US governments have sanctioned some extreme things over the years and I wouldn't trust the average politician to tell me the time of day. Still I can't believe that anyone in our government was directly involved in 911. But I do think the White House took advantage of the situation to pursue existing goals.

I don't believe that Osama Bin Laden was behind 911. Instead of being the head of a global terrorist organisation, Bin Laden will eventually turn out to be no more than someone who ran a terrorist training camp just like others which have previously existed in countries like Libya and Lebanon. At most, perhaps some of his "clients" were involved in 911. He was just in the wrong place when the US wanted an excuse to get into Afghanistan.

That said, I have no idea who was behind 911. No-one has proposed any very credible alternatives to arab terrorists of some stamp or other, although it is difficult to avoid the suspicion that were other possibilities not all so unpalatable, more people might have commented on how untypical of arab terrorism - in every respect from style, planning and execution, through to not claiming responsibility - 911 was.
