Yea, I think all design work for print is supposed to be done at 300 dpi . At least our promotions department does it that way.

dimensions for american biz card is 2 inches by 3.5 inches, if you design in photoshop, which is a really bad idea, it should be 300 dpi, the type, which you should do in illustrator, quark or pagemaker should be set at 2540 dpi. CMYK is preferred. color is much more accurate that way.
