When you have employees some days at the office are spent answering questions or putting out fires. THose days are not productive, but neither are the days when household shit needs to be done or the phone rings or someone comes to the door.
I have gone back and forth on this issue and it comes down to whereever you get the most quiet that day is where you will be most productive. I am even going to try working on the lawn this year with my WIFI laptop.

I think when it comes down to it I'm looking at having an outside office and my home office ... Outside when I need to go and focus and get a lot of work done and home for those late night / early morning situations - I was hoping to have some separation and not feel like I was always "working" but I guess that's not so easy in this biz.
Plus I have to admit I am addicted to the high of this business ... the instant gratification of how quickly new marketing plans can show results - the checking stats, signups ... emails ... I'm not sure I even want to leave all that "behind" at the office ... :) |
