Looks like a cool script..now if the tgp scripts could incorporate something similar into theirs for submissions

My god, which lawyer helped you design it..??????? Name please??? If you think you can design a program thats fine.... but you had better have a lawyers stamp of approval before giving people false hope that your proggy can comply with any rule or reg when jailtime if on the line. I looked at the "demo and it is a Joke. First of all YOU MUST have a directory abcdefghi etc... then when you pull up the A section a FULL PAGE of MODEL IDs thumbs and descripts comes up...... then you have a URL and model release button when clicking that it shows every EXACT FULL URL that image is published on... furthermore..... that master id MATCHED with the master pic (out there so law enforcement can make the comparision to see what makeup and some sleep did for the model and what she looks like as a finished product) also the PROGRAM MUST be able to drill down into an exploded view of the ID in the upperleft corner of the model MASTER page and thumbs of ALL and I mean ALL the images of that model you own and have licenses for ........ALSO at the top level where the model ID PAGES are aplha sorted when clicking on the id it would show ALL the DIFFERANT sets you have of that model........ then you could drill down to each set..... and and thumb clicked on would show a complete list of urls and I dont mean complete path..... if you interpret the rule to mean mystupidassadultwebsite.com then you cant read .... COMPLETE URL....... now once you get that right..... START ALL OVER FROM URL and drill backwards etc etc.... or did you miss the day in school when they taught the meaning of the words """"cross referenced""""""..... you do all that and then have a print function that will not take 7000 clicks to print paper copies (ALSO REQUIRED) you need ONE CLICK CREATE PAPER copy to go in the clients file
and you have a good start.......and that would be the beta then we let everyone in to throw darts at it to give it a three dimensional view and to make it bullet proof..... KEEP IN MIND//// this is a rule designed so that NO ONE can comply.... the url requirement is the trap.... they expect most of you realy wont get it,,,, and after reading the threads its obvious even the designers of the softwares availible are taking the bait..... also some of the less effective versions that have come out such as this one will not run on windows without adding a database which is also a mistake.... unless it comes with the bundle....... fix it and ill be the first to buy a copy ,,,,,and pay ten times what your charging.... but the way it is now .....???? you might as well go grab a copy of ACDSEE to sort your IDS for you while you sit in jail. $dEVON |

Anyway, the software was released to the public a couple of days ago. It was in the beta stage for about 2 weeks, during which time updates and improvements were made daily if not more as we got feedback. Of course the software is still being developed, and will continue to be worked on for quite some time. The beta versions that have been out for a couple of weeks are still working fine, and very few errors or bugs (mostly cosmetic stuff) have been found. Nevertheless, it has been ready, is being used, and is compliant as to the law as printed. Some of the things still in developement are the server spider and the data replication modules (for sposors to be able to provide data to secondary producers). Neither of those things are relevant to the law though, they are modules for convenience to the user, to speed the process up for everyone. |
bill, i hope you know i didn't mean it as a personal attack - i was just frustrated, because until the night of the 22nd, no one had any idea whether the DOJ would be knocking on our door on the morning of the 23rd...to my mind, that meant the software would have to be available, and everything inputted, by the morning of the 23rd...software released on the 23rd (according to the info that we had at the time) would do us no good. i was frantically searching for software that would be available well BEFORE then, so that I could be compliant on the 23rd.
anyway, nothing against you or your product...good luck with it :-) |
MikeSmoke...
Nope. Installed IIS again and can't see "Server" on 'services' when right-clicking My Computer and hitting 'manage'. Nowhere. I went down the list one by one. So... |

Is this your contribution to the webmaster community? This guy spent countless hours working on the program, which he offers for a very reasonable price. Is it perfect? no. That is why he needs our feedback. Our help will help make this software improve and have something useful for us all. It is needed. What is the fucking software that you have been working at for the benefit of everyone involved? If you want to help, make a list of the things you suspect can be problematic and email the person who develop it instead of coming to this thread to discredit someone's work. Those participating in this thread are looking for real help, not the shit you put out. I will find out who the fuck you are and if you happen to be at the next internext I will kick your ass so bad that it will glow in the dark, while you fart. |
Mike...
Found the problem and I am posting it here in case others run into this. I had the 'file and printer sharing for Microsoft Networks' off, so I couldn't see the 'server'. Once I reinstalled this, I got the server started and made the changes needed at wwwroot/. But now can't login to the script with the login provided by Adam... |
ah...that makes sense.
hmm...i don't even remember what the default un/pw were - i think it was on the flash movie on his help page though... |

np...that's one of the things i liked/like about his stuff...if there's a problem someone has...(from my experience at least) he not only helps the person through it, but it ends up in the next version of the software, and there's flash documentation, within a few days :-)

Well his site is down

2257 Made Easy is not perfect but it is a nice program and the programer is working on making it better with more options. Just My :2 cents: |
Well I guess he could not keep up with correcting the program errors.
This is on his site now: Quote:
But he does not even have a link to the "support forum" that he says he created. :1orglaugh I've re-written my copy anyway so support (except for a couple of minor items) is not needed. My :2 cents: |
