Is it possible to network 98 and XP?

I want to set up a media network in my house using 4 computers. Of the 4 computers, 3 are operating XP while 1 is operating 98.

Is this possible? If so, how difficult is it and where can I find online instructions to set it up?

Thanks.

Yes, it's just as easy as a regular network. If you run the wizard on XP or even the software that comes with most routers it will ask you if you want to make a disk to run on all other computers. For the most part it's plug and play though. (with router)

Same reason I left it on a good dozen computers, it isn't a hog like XP.

From what I know: It is possible. Although you'll need to get through a lot of crap.

Never had the first bit of crap with my network. Maybe I'm just lucky though?

I have 98 running on my main machine, for various reasons. I won't be switching to XP.

Basically I want to load all of my movies, music, and TV shows on one central computer and then stream it to my other computers on demand. This is all possible, right?

It's definately possible. I've always used XP on the main computer though so I'm not sure if it's any different.

Edit: I read your post wrong. If you have your machine on a network and put your movies in a shared folder then yes you can play them from anywhere.

By "main computer" I meant my workstation. The server itself will be XP.
