Paypal dispute

Some kid sent me $110.00 via paypal, The title & description of the transaction clearly said donation.. I gave him the screenname "Delaware"

now the kid opened a dispute via paypal trying to get his $110 back, saying I took the screenname back, I didn't.

Anyone had any dealings with paypal disputes ?

What should I expect a refund issued ? They put my money on hold already.

I Don't see how they can when the title/description said donation..

I replied saying it was a totally fraudulent claim...

Yah, I'm pretty sure it violates AOL/AIM's TOS..

The Title/Description of the transaction was "Donation"..

PayPal is going to ask for proof of delivery which may be tough to do in this case. As for this being a donation he may have said the donation was made in return for the name - sort of like when you give to a charity and get a gift in return. Knowing PayPal they'll give him his money back. Best bet may to be to insist that the name is returned to you by the purchaser before PayPal processes the refund. Good luck.

i'm sure when he disputed the transaction he said it was for a screen name or other virtual good, a friend of mine use to sell proxy lists and he got burned quite a few times like this... if the good he purchased wasn't something physical then they can't prove you sent the good so they'll refund him the money unless you can prove otherwise

wow, just phoned paypal.. they told me to email them

thats so lame.

They're not scamming me for $ lol

I cancelled my card, about to call my bank and tell them not to authorize any payments to paypal.

Will that keep the scammer from collecting his money, or will paypal give it to him anyways then bill me?
