It took me 6 days to break 1k, that was from the day I installed the script. It's pretty easy to get blog traffic. It takes me 1-2 days to install wp, build the design, change the css, add the ping sites, submit to directories, and 3 updates, then get some trades. At this point I updated 3 times a day during peak hour times.. A few days later you should break 1k uniques. Holding over 1k is the trick though. :)

i don't think he was saying that you would just break that 1 to 2, we're talking about having 1-2k a day in traffic and i can't see anyway of making that happen.

and as far as what you're doing, i don't know maybe you're smarter than me, i have nice blogs that i submitted to a few sites and made good quality link exchanges and i didn't see 1-2k a day in traffic from it within 2 weeks and still don't.

maybe you do 100 link exchanges and submit to 20 directories, to me that's not all quality traffic so i've stayed around 20 to 30 good link exchanges and 4 to 5 directories.

I don't have that many trades.. like 10 or so, I have a bit more directories but I haven't been listed on them all yet. I have about 25 ping sites though. Quality traffic wise I do fine, I average a sale a day.

To me it's like the old school traffic days. I add WP then I update, then I worry with design. I get listed on directories that list the fastest first, before I design. I always write down how fast they list me for later use, get listed on the fastest sites first and ping sites that respond the fasest. Research niche trades with sites that show to have traffic, not caring so much about PR. It's harder for me to hold and build on that base than it is to shoot up. If I time it all right the people that have traffic get traffic back and don't drop the trades.

DigiPimp, I built up TU to about 3k within two weeks - if you are posting constantly and acquiring good quality link exchanges you will continue to grow, and the traffic quality is very good and makes money. I'm not after numbers, i'm after $$$. :)
Also, quality trackbacks are a must.

3k within 2 weeks just on some link trades. i don't know, i believe you and i wouldn't call you a liar, but i don't see how that happens.

You can grab it for free if you're up to changing a few colours, moving a couple of sections around and adding a new header.

Your templates are not built from the ground up they are free templates offered on many sites.
All he did was take a base from the many wordpress templates out there! HAHHA just go here and you can find them http://www.alexking.org/index.php?co...ess/styles.php Odds are very high the very "template" he is using is on that site. It's so easy to put a logo at the top of your wordpress blogs.

I can see paying for an entire CUSTOM theme. But not some simple base when all you did was change the background color in CSS and put in a tiny graident.

Umm...not sure where you people are getting at.
I take a base template and modify it to fit the customer's needs. Sometimes the client just wants the base template, in which case it is not custom.
Most of the time the templates are heavily modified inside and out, but of course I start with a base template.

I don't think you can re-sell someones else's template.

If you are offering custom "templates" based on someone elses template I hope you are at least including the below in your custom package. Writing it yourself and selling it as a "THEME PACK". Do yourself a favor go learn wordpress code also learn the anatomy of a WordPress Theme if you are going to sale this stuff.

I don't know Bangman personally and have not purchased any work from him but he does go quite far beyond what a default wordpress template like "bionic jive" does. In terms of design & useability that is. I am impressed with what he does at teenieupdate.com
