I did something to my machine and nowI can't browse any of the shares on it says access denied and from this machineI cannot login specifying administrator username /password
why is this stuff so gay ?

XP is a pain like that.... try making an account with the same l/p on the machine you're trying to use to log into it (same user that has access to those files on the local machine).
You also have to enable advanced file sharing to set permissions... check out google or hit me up on ICQ and i can give you a hand. 421-3411 -
thanks I think I have it sorted now I created a password for my account on my laptop and rebooted and I managed to map the drives on my main box at last
my laptop came with XP home on it :o/Comment
