What is your question? |
Quote:
unless he puts a different url on every image... then it's possible |
Quote:
The stats dont show that he got x amount of hits FROM a file. Its how many hits he got TO A FILE. Get it? :upsidedow |
And then once a surfer hits that file he downloads it, and gets an image which has a HUGE url watermarked and he may or may not decide to type it it.
Now you cant track those stats, unless you have a diff domain per each file. Which you usually dont. |

Tracking between files doesn't even really matter. Do you think spammers insert tracking IDs in the links within the 8 million they send out in one sitting?
If traffic is down, just create more files, rather than trying to optimize the ones you are serving. It'd probably be more trouble than its worth to try to analyze and optimize your efforts even if there were a way to track it down to the individual file. If you want some sort of statistics, you could try subdomains if you don't want to pay $8 a pop for new domains. |

Dude, where's woj? ;)

I tell you one thing, get going now because after a while limiewire will start filtering/banning IPS after seeing the problem.

Post bots need rest too. |

Besides, they haven't banned the RIAA-hired goons who seed millions of bogus music files yet, so why would they ban small to medium sized porn spammers? |
Quote:
Also, you said the same file with different names wont get picked up, how does it know it is the same file? And i dont want to host the files off my PC, but how do you host them off a server and how much BW do you burn? |
Quote:
file#1 was downloaded 1500 times file#2 was downlaoded 1345 times etc I'm not familiar with LimeWare so I could be worng, but I don't think I am p.s. I sent you an email back ;) |
btw I'm wandering what spammers usually promote this way
the traffic must be crap when it comes to buying anything $1 email programs? |
Quote:
Most likely. Usually programs that offer free shit in exchange for an email. SO email programs for free/$1 trials maybe. |

If the surfers had credit cards and were willing to spend the usual $30/month for porn, then they wouldn't be looking for porn on p2p :2 cents:

That does not mean anything.
Problem with P2P is pulling the traffic and getting them on Webpages that sell them and ultimatly provide ya with a sign up. p2p is suicide without DRM. |

I don't think you have hundreds of files that are exactly x.xxxxxxxxxxxxxx mb well you get the point.. and there's also the size of the images in pixels.. but these are just ideas i'm raising.. i have no clue how limewire does it. |

01010101 and 01010101 'look' the same to a computer but the file: 00000100 looks different although the three of them might be the same size ;) |

This is how limewire determines "unique" files:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SHA1 Many p2p apps use this or another algorithm (md5), which are both collision resistant enough from a spammers perspective to be considered identical. |

Yeah. People love that I heard. Which is why P2P is like squeezing blood from a lemon. |
I would like to find a working linux terminal client. Anyone?

you didn't really read the thread, did you ;) |
I'm selling software to do this if anyone wants to give this traffic source a try -> ICQ: 33375924
|
Well I've been using P2P drm advertising for awhile and admittedly the traffic is worse than other sources.
I use two affiliaites. Smashbucks which is converting at around 1:650 and AFF which is around 1:400 (including rebills so that ratio is probably a bit worse). These numbers are based on unique IP click-thrus. I have around a 1:8 click-thru rate. So not the best traffic out there, but not worthless either. |
