If you're not an enthusiast though, it doesn't really make a difference. Either you're a driver or a commuter, nothing wrong with that...

Young 06-10-2005 05:20 PM

I too have a G35. Enjoy. 3rd gear is a dream :)

I'm more of a commuter :) Speeding tickets and horrible accidents don't do it for me.

The G has more of a "Gear limiter" than a true SMG but what do you say to the the new SMG II gearboxes being used by almost every sports car out there? Are you trying to call the McLauren SLR a commuter car?

gecko 06-10-2005 05:29 PM

Nice ride man

That was on my mind as well.

I've been head up next to cars in my 350Z that want to race and I just pop my shifter into manual. So far the only 3 cars that have taken me have been a vette, and m3, and m5 and a McLauren. I knew I'd lose all of those races, but I was curious to see what their speed was like. needless to say, I will be getting a vette in the next year or 2 as a weekend car. I like my daily driver with automatic (and a manual option).

Veterans Day 06-10-2005 05:30 PM

a proper automatic will dog any stick 7 days a week, if you think otherwise you are most likely 17-23 years old :winkwink:

Alky 06-10-2005 06:06 PM

facialfreak 06-10-2005 06:11 PM

I have a big penis, so I drive a Z24 :thumbsup

but still a nice car man ... if it makes you happy, then is worth the money you spent :thumbsup

Spankys Teens 06-10-2005 06:14 PM

Great car....bet they're cheap in the states compared to europe

PAR 06-10-2005 06:35 PM

nice better yet sweet... ride get a turbo $4000 after you biuld it up right and an m3 and a vette will only see your tail lights... been a fan of that car since I saw my firrst one... even if its an auto... but hey that s just my 2 cents...

:1orglaugh Yeah... I thought it was funny how a guy that never met me siad I couldn't afford an M3 so the only reason I could think of why I didn't buy it (other than the fact that the g35 looks as nice and is more car for the $ IMO) was that I didn't need to make up for a small package... "Hey baby, I drive an M3" (but is hung like a small boy from Vietnam). :1orglaugh The m3 still shits on my car performance wise.. not trying to deny it.

Spunky 06-10-2005 07:55 PM

Nice looking ride man

sickkittens 06-10-2005 07:56 PM

I have an M3, and i love the g35's, especially triple black like yours.. The downside is, I cant drive 3 blocks without seeing a g35, cant drive 10 blocks without seeing one triple black, atleast with the M3, i dont see it much, i see a shitload of 330's etc.

opflix 06-10-2005 08:10 PM

an automatic sports car is an oxymoron... sorry. but it does LOOK nice

..

Screaming 06-10-2005 08:15 PM

digga 06-10-2005 08:52 PM

nice ride. auto or not, its still tits.

AdultWebGraphics 06-10-2005 08:57 PM

Very nice, I would take that over the Z anyday.

The black wheels make it look real mean. :)

Clicky_Bucks 06-10-2005 09:15 PM

I have an M3.

You should have got one. This thread tells us all that you are having a little buyers remorse and trying to justify it to yourself.

You had to put some wheels on that slug because that thing will seriously get lost in a parking lot otherwise.

webcrawler 06-10-2005 09:17 PM

Nice ride! :thumbsup

Just to clarify, when using the automatic in manual mode in the G35, it's not like you just put it down into low then shift up by moving the shift handle up one notch at a time like you would do in a regular automatic.

If you'll look closely at the picture of pimporn's interior, you'll see another slot to the right of the main shifter slot. Put the shifter lever over into that slot, and it works like a paddle shifter. Bump it up for upshifting, bump it down for downshifting.

Now, with that said, of course, it's NOT the same as a manual (no clutch so you can spin the tires from the traffic light :winkwink: ), but it's pretty damned cool either way and you can really rap through the gears with it very smoothly and quickly :thumbsup

Satisfaction 06-10-2005 09:45 PM

very nice ride dude :)
