Question for domain pros

I was contacted by an aviation financing corp about my domain aviationcredit.com ( I also own aerocredit.com)

I checked them out and they are a well established and fairly large in their industry. They sent me and email and asked for the price of aviationcredit.com. Since I have only sold domains to other webmasters or to small businessmen I don't have experiece in dealing with larger companies.

How should I proceed and do you have an idea of how much I should get for the domain?

The good thing for you is that you know you are dealing with an End User. Hence, you shouldn't ask for a wholesale price or the amount you would normally charge another domain reseller/webmaster. On the other hand, I don't think the name is very valuable. (Of course, I do not know the aviation credit field very well.)

Considering both the good and bad, I'd be ambitious with an asking price - but not too ambitious as to scare off a rare potential buyer for the domain. You may consider trying to fish an offer from them first. Something along the lines of...

"I may be interested in parting with this domain for a reasonable price. Please submit your offer, etc."

This will give you an indication of how serious they are about owning this domain. Most likely they won't give you their top offer to start off with, but it will get the ball rolling. Then you can see how they respond and go from there.

Good luck.

I agree, when selling something that you are not sure of the value always try to get the prospective buyer to make an offer first.

What happened to your dick that required replacement with mechanical components? Or was it an elective procedure?

My penis has not been "replaced" with mechanical components, it has merely been "enhanced" by them.

The original human tissue is still intact but it is now acting as a cover for the mechanical core of my penis.

tell them you have plans to make something out of it, and have them make a really good offer to convince you to sell... this way no cybersquatting or you getting in trouble for asking for money for it, in case they own something in that name.

I handle major domain acquisitions and can maximize your selling price. I've got all the agreements necessary also.

Exactly, find their idea of price and go from there. You may be pleasantly surprised. Good luck.
