Thanks BreetJ! I haven't seen this post in a while but caught your question, so here's the answer:
Our customer support emails are our bread and butter... it's what keep our members around for YEARS sometimes. Idoia takes the time to give our customers the attention they deserve, and frequently we'll find outselves in somewhat deeper levels of communication with the people we serve. The Dentist guy from Switzerland's a prime example, and it provides for some *wonderfully amusing* conversations that touch on our own lives.
Personally, I love it. I can't tell you how many times I'll hear hysterical laughter from across the house (or office) only to be told "You've GOT to hear what this customer just told me," or "That's the SWEETEST thing I've ever heard... sometimes our members astound me."
Speaking for myself, I focus mainly on Affiliate support, and can say the same about my own friendships that have developed with folks I've never met in person before, but through doing business they've become what I'd consider close (yet faraway at times) FRIENDS.
