So this morning I'm sitting down to work with a grande vanilla latte on the desk. My daughter runs over to show me her new dress (you see where this is going already don't you?), and WHAM! She hits the latte, it sprays coffee everywhere, all over the nice shiny new 17" wide screen WUXGA display, all over the side of the laptop, only a few drops on the keyboard though, so that was cool.
The good news is that so far everything is okay. I was able to clean the top and screen, I was also able to clean out the one side USB port that was filled, that was probably the hardest hit. Luckily everything seems fine, and as an added bonus now once the laptop warms up it smells like fresh vanila latte. :thumbsup

We bought pretty much the same configuration as you did about 1 month ago. Been very happy with it, except I don't like the mousepad action.
