Just saw Open Water

good movie... What I don't understand is why didn't they count the tanks and recount the people after they got back to land?

That movie was a trip, especially with a good size tv, in a dark room with surround, really added to the experience hehe.

That movie fucking sucked balls. How can it be based on a true story when they both died. How the fuck do we know what happened out there? What they went through, said, etc.... when neither of them lived?

Fucking waste of time.... DO NOT WATCH THIS MOVIE

Yea, they both died.

The husband died of a shark wound and the woman drowned herself cause she was surrounded by sharks. It's better drowning rather than being eaten alive. Did you see the very end when the fisherman caught a shark? (during the ending credits) A camera came out of the shark... I'm sure it was developed

I watched it even after everyone told me it was "soooo bad" and "the worst movie ever"...and honestly..I tought it wasn't that bad...maybe the fact that I was actually prepared to watch something really boring and it was actually better than I expected...I dunno...

Over-rated movie. But not as bad as some here are saying. Worth a watch. It's shorter than a typical movie.

there seem to be only two points on this movie. You either think it's 90minutes of people floating in the water and it sucks or you are like me and found yourself wondering how you would react and getting into mood of the movie and liked it.

As for it being based on a true story it is. They never found the bodies of the two people left behind but did find some of thier gear. They also found a writing board that said " help he is trying to kill me " or something like that. There are people that thought it was an accident and they died. There are also people that think the guy planned the whole thing, killed his wife and swam to safety. There are people in austrailia who claim to have seen the guy since this happned.

Yeah.. it wasn't bad at all. All the cocksuckers in this thread should have rented a Rob Schneider movie instead.
It wasn't great.. but definately worth a watch if you don't need an explosion or a wisecrack every 5 minutes.
