there's difference between Passports and ID Cards. You don't need a Passport as long as you don't leave the European Union - within that an ID Card is sufficient.

in Germany I would say maybe 40 - 50% have a Passport. but since the eastern European countries didn't belong to the European Union until last year within the younger people there who travel Passports are very common.

Travelling between member states of the European Union there are no borders, hence you don't really need a passport if you travel by car. Flying, you obviously need it. Actually, I think you are still required by law to carry the passport on you even when you go to e.g. France. But should you ever encounter troubles with police or authorities in general, the passport is just *the* document to show. But I get it, the North American continent is plenty big for people to never leave it.

I had several occasions in the past where restaurants in OH denied my Czech passport because it wasn't an official OH drivers license. Some store owner even told me that it was state law that they could deny any form of other official ID when checking for your drinking age, pathetic. A document that allows me to cross country borders won't get me a beer?

As I said above, you are still required to carry your passport with you at all times. I may be wrong, but anyhow... many states, including the CZE, just recently got annexed into the EU, and people have needed passports then for I don't know how many years prior to that.

In addition, Europeans travel a lot, especially overseas. Hence, a passport is just a given.

Forgive me for possibly wading in over my head here, but regarding passports....
as it was pointed out to me...even if from here on out every single model used a passport, it doesn't change the the thousands of model who posed before and used their state IDs.

Same here, and I agree with AaronM, they want money Now. It takes a while for a passport, not to mention money, which they don't have, thats why they want to model nude 90% of the time.

We had the Inladn Revenue visit us getting documents to prove we paid a girl who was alos claiming council benefits. We had to give them all the ID etc that she had given us. Surprisingly she didnt reside at the address on the documents.

No. I am not an expert or an attorney. But from what I understand you just need a link to the primary producer for those sites just like the current regulations. Think about it. Say I shoot content of a girl topless. She still needs to be 18 for it to be legal in the US.

Well...when I said "keep any kind of records" I should have specified as a secondary producer/publisher...and my thinking is the same as yours that one should only have to link to the primary producer...for proof of age...as I do not personally view ass...boobs and bush as being "sexually explicit".

I acutally consulted two different attorneys but it was out side their expertise and I got two different sets of thought...but both didn't really have a clue...about what constitues "sexually explicit" and or the record keeping aspect.

Duirng my five plus years of shooting content for my adult sites, I have always had EVERY model fill in a 2257 form and provide ID just in case the law or interpretation of it changes (in addition to a separate Release form).

The most common form of ID is a Drivers License. Even if the address is not current or blacked out, with the Drivers License number and real name it would not be hard to find a current address for most people. I assume that is what the DOJ will use if they want to track down a person (or to determine if an ID is fake).

My hope is that the adult industry lawyers will prevail in striking down many of the new rules. In the meantime I am double-checking my records, cross-indexing them, and creating redundant back-up copies of everything (2257 docs, hard drives, etc).

The passport is very prevelant in the EU because only some countries agreed, I think it was The Treaty Of Rome, to remove border controls. If you travel in or out of the UK you require an passport or official ID, not 100% sure on the official ID as we all carry passports here.

Europeans expect to travel to more countries then people in the US, whether they do or don't is not what they "expect" to do.

The idea that models change their address is very true. They get the ID when they are 15 to 17, when they live at home. Aaron tell the girls you will be giving IDs to people who will distribute them to 1,000s and they are safe because the address on the ID relates to where Mum and Dad live.

That should get you loads of models.

Different here, can't remember the last time a model said she did not have a passport. But I think they are just as broke and in need of money.

which makes me feel a bit for the people that then move into the addresses that the models once lived at

For the same amount of money as a monthly membership to her site, Mr Stalker can ... with models full name ... now run an advanced people search that tells ... her past 5 addresses, current and previous tenants of that address, her ex-neighbors, relatives in the same area, phone numbers, any real property she owns, number of times married, divorces, husbands names, bankruptcies, leans, judgments, internet names owned, arrest record ..... etc ...

Once you find that "Heidi" is really Sally Snodgrass you are ready for your first surprise date.

the name and age of a lot of girls are already know through sites like eurobabeindex or sportyone - so id docs without address do not add potential danger that not already existed.
