questions on the .xxx issue...
what is the purpose of the people behind it that we keep hearing about? Is it to gain revenue from domain sales or is it to have a monolpoly on one word sex domains when they become available for registration with their inside contacts and presumably as payback for their heavy investment?
If this is going ahead some form of clarity might be nice: Will they be like .tv domains and premium one word domains have a higher price than the everyday registration? Will there be restrictions on what content can be used on a .xxx? How will the initial landgrab be conducted in a fair manner? (lol i crack me up.) I'm assuming the only way to protect current sites is via trademarking and much like .net there is no preference for the existing .com owner? Will people outside of those pushing for it have a chance at any of the semi-premium names.. im not talking www.sex.xxx I'm assuming thats a done deal. Will there be a cap on registrations so the major dom buyers don't auto script 1000 sales each in the first 10 minutes? Anyone got any other questions? If we're going to be extorted into something I want answers.. Or do we just sit back and get cluster fucked? |

I guess it will be easier to classify an adult site if it's .xxx than .com; thus, facilitating an easier searching among newbies...

I just read connor's article in the million dollar question thread that answered a few things.. I guess a new question is.. why in hell would any very hardcore site buy an xxx url? You think www.cuminhereyes.xxx is going to stand up to whatever rules they put in place especially with non industry people on the board? meatholes.xxx? lol.
see this is what happens when i leave for a week.. a whole new pile of shit lands lol.. and im coming into it late. I guess being outside the US maybe any future US laws once people are rounded up into .xxx aren't going to hurt as much.. but still.. |

Some good questions. They are probably going to be $75 a pop so that might get some of the biz newcomers out from registering a bunch of names.
