per-minute cell phone billing on it's way out?

With VoIP making per minute charges obsolete, I think the same is about to happen with cell phone providers. I don't know why one of the major providers doesn't just announce an unlimited plan for $99 a month and grab 99% of the market in one fell swoop.

They'd be so far ahead of the game, no carrier would be able to take the market back.

I've got an unlimited phone too, but it's limited to Sacramento and the Bay Area. Who's your carrier?

ATT wireless offered this years ago and I was on the plan, but then I had to switch to another provider because I moved.
