Advice on getting a triple monitor set up
I have dual monitors right now, running off a good graphics card, an nVidia 128meg.
I really want to add another monitor. Can I just stick another graphics card in and run the 3rd monitor from that? Or will I need any other specific hardware/software? Will XP run this set up ok or will I need a different version of windows? I have seeen several photos on here of people running multiple monitor set ups, so any advice from you guys would be very much appreciated. thanks! ![]() |

Just throw in another card and BAM!
It's just as easy to add a third as it was to add the 2nd. Windows XP will be fine too. There is a chance there will be a mother board issue with the two video cards but it's not likely. Should be no trouble at all.

If you're going to put in a second graphics card think seriously about getting two PCI express cards and that way you can kick it up to 4 monitors if you want.
You're going to have to buy a second card so why not build in some room for expansion while you doing it?

You can plug in 3 cards (pcis) in the comp, it will work. Just watch your neck when you´re done..
