    does HP use proprietary PSU's?

cuz i jus bought a new gfx card for my wifes HP media center (854n) and now the fucking pc wont even boot. Im thinking its the PSU, might not be able to handle the card (9600 xt 256mb). I dont know the watts on my PSU, a dell, but the volts are 151 and on hers its 115. My pc has the same card and it runs no problem.

    fucking hardware!
SIG TOO SMALL! Maximum 1200x600 button and no more than 30 text lines of ALL SIZES and COLORS. Unless your sig is for a GFY top banner sponsor, then you may use a 6240x4800 instead of a 1024x800.

Newer HP systems are built for hp hardware apparently... Not sure about sound cards, but I tried putting a different hard drive in the system and it wouldn't work.. Tried installing winme.. wouldn't work... has to be XP... Tried a linux os.. no go..

Damn man that sucks. What was the thing people were talking about maybe a month or two (or more) ago about their printer cartridges.. something like they are set to expire or something?

      Gotta love HP.

HP power supplies suck ass. Pretty expensive to replace usually since they are not standard ones.
