                  Why is that? Not being silly, I just don't understand. If they were purchased and renewed to be effective past the date of the .xxx launch, why wouldn't they still belong to the original owner?

                                                      Thanks for posting a response that was actually intended to help. I'm still not sure why it's such a funny question. I don't understand how registry domains can sell you a domain that gets trashed without refunding your money or allowing you to keep the domain. Maybe I just have my head in the sand today.
