nope cause thats redirected and cookied by the ccbill admin so nothing works...

DutchTeenCash 06-02-2005 07:54 AM

Has anyone thought of the fact members cannot cancel as well?

Meaning : the rebills will go through (I guess?), meaning if they wait till the last second to cancel and get rebilled anyhow, theyll most likely chargeback as soon as its online again...

Any ccbill reps to confirm this?

axel77 06-02-2005 07:55 AM

No thanks, Im happy with the hosts we have, they take care of stuff, and I know what you mean, but not every host wants to take measures like that...

We inform our members they should always cancel 48 hours in advance of their rebill. Also, since most of our cancels come from our site and are posted to CCBill's backend, we can still submit cancels when their front-end is down.

Ofcourse, those trying to cancel form the website may not be able to and might chargeback, but hopefully that's just a very small percent :2 cents:

If the members are unable to cancel they will be emailing you (ie. if you have provided an email address on your join page) cos they are not stupid they know CB comes with a bit of hassle like signing/notarizing an affilidavit sent by the cc issuing bank which they could avoid by emailing you. So when ccbill comes back up if you see if they have already been rebilled just void the transaction that's all.

You know, in the mainstream world of processors, DDOS attacks have brought down major processors like WorldPay for as long a a full week. That's an unbroken, no site, no anything for seven days. Other processors like 2CheckOut have been hit and brought down to their knees for three days at a time on average. Repeatedly.

Adult, meanwhile, like CCBill, is handling things 100X-1000X better. Count your blessings if it's a mere hour here or there. Meanwhile (no pun) credit should go where it's due. CCBill is doing an excellent job.

Which mainstream processor went down for a week? And yes, I agree with you that CCBILL is always on top of things.
