Do You Still Buy 'Toys'?

Just wondering if you or your wife or husband still buys kids toys. From model kits to trains to whatever soothes the savage breast of play.

There were television shows when I was a kid that didn't have a toy line. Somebody got wise and created toy lines based on those old shows. Now we're buying up them things like there ain't no tomorrow.

Wish I had kept all those toys I had when I was a kid in great condition. Each year they go for more bucks.

A friend of mine, a tv producer, to this day she still buys two of every Barbie doll they make. She must have an entire second house full of these things. Shoes, hats etc.

Another pal who is a doctor buys every 'Hot Wheel' they come out with and any he can find elsewhere. It's amazing!

Don't even talk about electric trains and slot car racing. I have pals who don't leave the house!

I enjoy collecting as they brighten up the work place, terrariums, etc. Some of these Japanese toys are so well crafted you'ld think they were museum pieces.

I have gaming systems / games
I have rc cars and model cars

But recently I've just been modding the BMW. I guess you can call that a big boy toy?
I just bought new 19" Wheels! :D

I'll allways be a kid at heart.

ROFL!

Man, lemme tell you, KEEP them Star Wars toys! I remember when the first Star Wars came out in '77 and there were like NO toys to the franchise. Just a few things at first.

We snagged up everything we could back then but of course took em' out into the yard and blew em' up with firecrackers!

Now them fucking toys are worth a fortune!

Especially the misprints and errors!

With Ebay you can go into your garage and find old shit and roll out with a friggin' Benz later.

MetaMan, KEEP THEM FUCKERS IN MINT CONDITION!!!

If you have TMNT original toys in good to mint condition one day you will cash in like a mofo'!!!

It's almost 20 years anniversary for TMNT. I was there when the series launched. Wish I had kept them comics!

Guys who grew up on TMNT are going to fight each other in a few years for them bad boys!

ROFL! Funny you should say that!!! I am planning the same thing! I grew up watching a show called "Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea" and they had these kick ass submarines on the show. I bought multiples of the new ones and fan made ones. Just for a kick ass aquarium I'm planning for new house and office. My aquarium is going to be connected to a terrarium for my 'Sugar Glider' pets. I got me a Herculoids toy set to set that diorama off.

I must be the only crazy person on Earth who has to buy a bigger house just to put the toys in.

No, but I get the urge when I take my son toy shopping. Today's toys are so much cooler than what we had growing up.

I just got him the new Sony PSP. The games, graphics and display on that gadget are breathtaking.

not really a big deal for me, parents prioritized education

That fucking toy was so shit kickin' cool I sat there astounded and it was built like a fucking diesel truck!

Now you would have to sell your first born kid to get one.

Herb, I know Generals who spend all their free time with their Lego sets. I know street combat hardened cops who you can't tear away from their Lego sets!

I have a cousin who is a top computer engineer and his Lego sets are bigger than his living room! He can't live without them.

Lego keeps growing and growing and..

EUREKA!!! Herb, you just solved a major problem for me! I was looking to design new display cases for my toys and just realized I can do them in LEGO!!!!

Once you build something with LEGO it's so strong you can use it as furniture!
