Fishing in San Diego

Looking to go on an overnight trip out of San Diego on or around the 15th of July. Anyone had any good boat experiences or any advice on which charter service to use?

Looking at a 6 pack at least, and would like to get some GFYers to go.

Anyone up for some fishing?

Paul...Ive had good luck with Helgrens Sportfishing out of Oceanside...Dick Helgren is a personal friend and they run a great operation

Would anyone here be interested in chartering a boat for an overnight trip.

Looks like around $2500 or so gets you the boat, food, beer, tackle, etc.

Wouldnt chartering a private boat if I can find some people interested.

I highly recommend Islandia Sportfishing. I go on several trips a year with them and all of their boats are top notch.

Paul went out 2 years ago on a boat called the penetrator lol but seriously. It was an overnighter. 2750 plus tip. Sleeps six a little older boat but we caught 600lbs of yellow tail and bonita and a few sand bass. Give me a call I will find out where it is again. Think its out of Point Loma. If you want because I want to go and I think Joe from smashbucks would love to as well. The price might have changed but I Can look into it if you want. Oh Choas has my cell!

Will be out of town that weekend, but if you ever plan another trip let me know. Sold my Whaler a year ago and haven't gone since...would love to hit the water again.

Yes. Looking to leave on Thursday July 14th at around 10pm and return on Friday the 15th at around 10pm.

If I get enough people, we will do a private boat with bunks. Looking around $300 per person including tips, beer, food, etc.

I went on one out of San Pedro a couple of years ago and had a blast. Caught a shit load of 20lb yellowtail and big barracuda.

Out of San Diego, we will be looking for Yellowfin tuna, yellowtail, dorado, and whatever the hell else we can find.

This is next month, not during the cybernet show.

I just booked a boat for July 14th. Not during the Cybernet Expo. The month after. I have 3 spots available. Its a private charter, 6 people total. Cost is roughly $360 per person plus gratuity and $15 for permits. Bring your own beer but breakfast and lunch are included.
