    Porker.com Sells For $155,000...

    New DN sales list it out at dnjournal

    Funny because I initially negotiated with the seller too

    At the same time industry experts, investors and interested observers were willing to foot the bill for trips to Las Vegas and Seattle, buyers were busy continuing to push the market to new heights. Last week we saw Innovations.com change hands for six figures in one of the biggest sales of the year. This week, we saw one go for almost 50% more, the appropriately named Porker.com which commanded a whopping $155,000 at Sedo.com. That ranks as the 3rd biggest sale of 2005. Porker.com (317 with the extension in Overture) will get a lot of high value traffic from people misspelling Poker.com. The big question is how long it will take to get back the 155K. Sedo also kept the string of eye-popping 3-letter .com sales alive this week by moving #2 GLU.com for $75,000! Overall, Sedo had four entries on our new Top Ten chart and every domain on the Big Board cracked at least five figures.

                          I don't see how pocker would be a typo for poker,
                          porker how ever deffinately would be since the R is next to the E, and people have their left hand ready on both letters as they both need to be typed in, so doing it fast you might add an extra R

                                                                                                          I saw the screencaps too, and at the time he showed them to me, it was earning more than $4,000/mo. The seller was asking $250,000 for the name. So obviously he came down from his asking price a bit.

                                                                                                          Still, it is nice to see he got more than 36 months revenue on this one. I have a poker misspell I plan to sell soon, while the market is still hot.
