				photographers around?
dont wanna bother you with stupid fucking questions, because i have so damn many now. i just bought a 20d and im looking for a lens, needless to say it looks a bit more involved than just buying a lens lol. does anyone know a site where i can learn the differences in lens` so i can pick an all purpose, AF zoom lens? the one it came with did not have enough zoom for my liking. i was looking at this one: from ritz camera but something tells me it isnt as simple at a $300 lens, because i see others that are $5k haha thanks if you can help. BTW so far im thrilled with the camera.

				 | quality depends on more than the zoom capability.. the optics (number of elements in the lens and precision), and AF features of the lens determine quality really. Generally speaking, the cheaper the lens, the more you won't like it. What you are paying for mostly in a 24-70mm 2.4 is the fast f/2.4 aperature, which will get you more depth of field and better under low-light conditions. Cheaper lenses are typically around f/4.5 or so, which can limit your options. General rule of thumb: spend a good amount of money on your body, and as much as you can on your lens

				 | another good one on budget is the Tamron 28-300mm F/3.5 XR Di lens which can be found much cheaper than listed on tamron's site. It's a really versatile lens. Some people don't like Tamron lenses, I have two and have little problems with them, I like the Tamron 28-75mm F/2.8 lens I have works great!

				 | What are you going to be using the camera for? Shooting family, porn, landscapes, natural life. This will determine the lens you buy. |
