Ok...having this fucking argument with a friend of mine about this. He's saying in the US, youpay apprx. .55 / litre . which I think is pretty low for today's whole situation! We pay .96 / litre where I am.

now I was in theBoston last week, anywheres from 2.14 to 2.22 / gallon. can anyone do the math and tell me how much this would be in litres??

Thanks !

Oh man, gas prices are going up again here.. we already hit the 1$ mark... then it dropped, then yesterday one gas station made use of their new sign to show a price of 1.00 even. Damn.

Well...I guess I was wrong !!! I was doing it like this....

.213 gallons X 3.785 = .806205 Litres I though you were paying .80 / litre which made more sense to me.

.806205 litres X 0.2642 = .213 US gallons

And it's easy to remembers because urinals in public restrooms state:

"1 Gallon/3.8 Liters per flush"

Gas in the US is definately cheaper, just keep in mind the exchange. When you work in 20 to 23% on the exchange you're looking at roughly 63 cent cad a litre for us Canadians

I noticed prices have remained steady lately. Are they supposed to go back up soon?

So 58 cents a litre US equals about 72.5 cents a litre in CDN $. Which is a bit cheaper then we pay up here. Of course if you factor in the 150+ billion spent by the US on the Iraq war to keep gas prices low...... it's not much of a bargain.

Of course it has.. turmoil tends to do that. That should be a short term thing though, if you guys ever actually manage to return real stability to the region gas prices should go down again. Its long term future gas prices that this war was fought for. Hopefully reaaaally long term to make up that kind of investment..
