Email Bill O'reilly about 2257

This is just a thought but since there are so many obvious faults with what is going on with 2257 why not get as many people to email one of the biggest mouths on television. He likes to stir up issues and mass campaign against things. Maybe after hearing some well written explanations on how this is not going to do anything for child porn and is going to cause alot of privacy issues. He might get all worked up and actually get some mainstream attention.

I figured there were so many discussion on this that a great number of people could explain the flaws in several emails and maybe get some attention.

Anyways his email is... oreilly (at) foxnews.com

Hey you don't think he wants the freedom to look at porn? He can always just jump on the idea that the government is overstepping their bounds not the "Pro-Porn" bandwagon. He doesn't have to like porn but he can logically see what this issue will do.

Too Right for O'reilly to touch. Maybe someone like Bill Maher would wrestle with the topic but SURE AS HELL NOT Bill O'reilly!

I watch him every night, but don't think he'd be on the side of the adult industry. He gets a hardon from putting smut peddlers and other people profiting from bad behavior in their place. Also, siding with the porn industry would not sit well with his ultraconservative and ultrareligous viewers.

Nah, if anything, he'd come out in favor of the new 2257 regulations. Following all the child rapes that have been happening, he's made protecting children from anything and everything (or the illusion thereof) one of his biggest issues.

About a week ago I was thinking the same thing with Jon Stewart and The Daily Show. Not the same impact but it would be funny as hell to see how they show it vs. how mainstream media would the same story.

If anything, send it to Hannity and Colmes. Alan is sure to take the anti-DOJ point of view, and at least it will generate mainstream discussion and debate of the issue. Besides webmasters, lawyers, and possibly webhosts, who has even heard of 2257 - barely anybody.

Supports gay adoption if no heterosexual couples are available and as an alternative to foster homes

Opposes government regulation of private sexual acts between consenting adults

Opposes additional regulation of pornography

Opposses the death penalty

Supports decriminalizing marijuana and the use of medical marijuana if prescribed by a physician

Supports cutting taxes across the board and eliminating the inheritance tax

Opposes the criminalization of most forms of abortion (late-term abortion being the exception), though personally finds the practice morally questionable

I just thought Maher and Jon Stewert would agree more yes but have any real impact no.
As for Oreilly even if he doesn't agree he might give others a forum to explain their views against him. He likes to do that as well and show how much smarter then everyone he is.
My main point is it has to be explained to him very well. Much better then I can understand and word things. If many MANY people can mass email him it might spark interest and get somebody maybe from the free speech coalition or somebody to get our side on the air with him.

face it, not many people outside of this industry give shit number one about 2257....do you think the average porn surfer cares? fuck no, why should they...they'll get their porn from somewhere else...average newsmaker/television show host? they don't give a shit...it doesn't affect them, so to them it's not a big deal...it's not even as interesting/exciting to them as a waterskiing squirrel.......

O'Reilly has acknowledged that from 1994 until December 2000, he was registered to vote as a Republican. He changed his voter registration from Republican to independent when the Washington Post was about to expose his party affiliation.

Now a registered independent, O'Reilly has said his previous affiliation was the result of a clerical mistake, and that no box for 'independent' was available on the registration form.

http://alfrankenweb.com/talknation.html
http://www.onthemedia.org/oreillydia...601_part1.html
http://www.washingtonpost.com/ac2/wp...nguage=printer

The actual form http://www.awptimus.com/docs/franken...reillyBig2.jpg has since been widely published, showing an option for those who 'do not wish to enroll in party' did indeed exist, and that the Republican option was checked.

Bill loves Jenna, but 2257 won't affect his ability to consume her videos or any other major pornstar...those companies have their docs and lawyers out the ass, this is primarily only affecting the little fish (affiliates) and those that kept a sloppy house... (exception for cam operations, that's just fucking madness when you read the regs) but normal photo and video content could and should be documented...it's just an administrative nightmare and tool for them to hunt down those durrrrty porno affiliates...

That may be the case, but I guess that points to the difference between you and I. I've never seen his TV show... I've never heard his radio show... I've never watched Fox news...

He may be everything you say, but seems you have more of a hard-on for Bill and Fox than this libertarian... carry on.

he hates the aclu... not sure how he feels about the fsc... i think the only reason he hates the aclu is because they are a bunch of propaganda mongers who defend people that are clearly in the wrong... the fsc seems like a much better operation.

Is that a joke? The ACLU defends your civil rights against those in the government and private groups who want to take them away.

Are you against free speech for those you disagree with?

The ACLU often defends unpopular speech. Pornography is unpopular speech.

Some people don't like that the ACLU defends Nazis or Atheists or other unpopular groups, without thinking about the fact that pornographers are also an unpopular group.

If you support freedom, support the ACLU.

:2cents aclu defends child molestor group

ACLU supports NAMBLA....

http://wired-vig.wired.com/news/poli...,38540,00.html

i think the premise the aclu was founded on is a good idea, however, they have strayed and now use thier money/influence to push thier own leftist agenda.
