Plus I work from 1pm pretty much until I go to bed... 8 hour day my ass... Try 15 hour day, I only stop for lunch and dinner and usually then I eat and work...

Okay, on a serious note for a moment... every now and then *I* sometimes wonder if I wouldn't be happier doing a 'real' job. I get an urge to pick up a hammer and go build a house or something.
But then I think "I can make way more doing what I'm doing, and in my spare time I can go volunteer at Habitat for Humanity or something."
If I ever get some spare time, I probably will do exactly that.

a large part of my job is answering emails and helping out afffiliates via ICQ and if someone comes over while I'm working, they think I can just take off and go fuck around...I have to try to explain to them that it's actually work and I hate being interrupted while doing it...my wife doesn't even "get it" most of the time...I have a part time nanny because my wife still feels the need to work outside the home (she is an exec at a casino, so the benefits rock and the money's not bad). She always feels like it's a hobby no matter how much I make...some days, I even sit around thinking "maybe I need a real job"...then I help out another affiliate, talk to my kids teacher(s) on the phone and also work on PTA/PTO stuff....things that would be more difficult to do with a "real job"Comment

I hate it when they assume I can just get up and walk out on a day of work just because I do it from home. For example, a friend asked me to come up and spend a week at their place. Now, HE had to go to work today but assumed I wouldn't need to work. I had to point out that I would be either bringing my laptop or using his to set up shop.Comment
