Every girl in the competition every year has her country's name in huge bold letters on her sash, and each girl is called and titled by her country's name. When she wins, she is called "miss ____________" (her country's name)....... yet brisk can't seem to grasp why the people of the winning girl's nation would be happy for their country as well as for the girl.

What did Jane Doe in Whitehorse, Yukon contribute to Miss Canada winning? There's like 32 million Canadians in Canada, and only one of them won, she deserves the credit.
