I'm completely done with the blatant lies this industry produces

As we all know very well, due to dilution and numerous other factors conversion ratios in this industry are getting worse and worse. Once they may have been good, but those days are over. Ratios of 1:50, 1:100 or even 1:200 are not real, whatever the source of traffic may be. I have the purest kind of direct navigation traffic out there, and I ain't seein' any of the dough promised by so many people!

Unlike in any other industry, program owners in adult seem to miss every bit of self-control or decency when talking about their profitability. A bit of advertising to promote a product is fine with me, but why exaggerate into the absurd?

And if they aren't program owners, why are people lying about their ratios? To brag, to make themselves look good? If they would only have half a brain they'd understand all their bluff will only lead to further deterioration of their profits.

When EvilChris, who mismanages his paysites, who lies to both his members and webmasters (for example about the frequency of updates, some paysites - who claim to update once a week - haven't been updated for over 8 months) produces another obvious lie by saying one of his sites is converting at 1:44, why don't we all just laugh?

I'm glad I'm out of here.

Fortunately for us your statement is wrong. I have people doing under 1/100 for 5 of our sites. As a few have pointed out, they are doing the same with other programs and their traffic. Sorry that you haven't been able to attain those numbers, but it's not always BS.

I think his point is how people "filter" to get those ratios.

I've done 1:39, 1:20 for a sponsor in one day a couple of times, but over a decent period of time those numbers are more like 1:500.

I don't know about evil chris's 1:44 cos my CR with littlesummer is around 1:3400 with no rebills out of 5 signups since I started sending it traffic but 5 signups not nuff to judge rebills with.

I do that day in and day out with certain proggies and know many others do the same. Trust me the "Source/target of traffic does matter"

Of course no one is doing 1:20 overall with all their traffic. He never said he was and you didn't ask what people were doing overall.. You brought up one specific site in your rant.

If I break down sites on a site by site I get ratios under 1:50 all the time. Of course every site in that sponsors program isn't going to convert as well so that will drive the overall ratio up much higher.

So that's why you either accept the higher ratios on the other sites or you stop promoting them.

Just because you might not get good ratios doesn't mean everyone else doesn't, maybe you should look at your traffic source. Hell I've seen spammers sales ratios with un-godly low conversion ratio's with shit loads of sales.

I do agree that it seems to be getting harder to sell, but it can still be done, but not every site you try to promote is going to bring in nice ratios.. You just have to accept that IMO.

good ratios exist but only in isolated pockets where clever design / marketing / strategies have been applied. often it's just a matter of luck as to what works at a particular time.. those maintaining 1:50 ratios work hard and smart for it. sometimes it's hard to see the diamonds for the bullshit.

Not sure if your meaning of filtering is the same as everyone else's meaning of filtering. Ofcourse, everybody filter their traffic or in other words target their traffic if not, one should get outta the biz cause there's no way in hell he's gonna see 1:50, 1:100, 1:200 with general/good mix of chinese traffic toppings
