Let me clear something up for you: We don't have to march in lockstep. I am completely free to call a Democrat an asshat even if I vote a straight ticket. And this guy is an asshat.

Ole Miss bowed to the pressure and Colonel Reb was removed as the mascot in 2003. On the otherhand, the Democrat governor in MS was replaced with a Republican one in the last election because the Democrat was cool with the flag issue being sent to the voters. I acquired one of the campaign signs Haley Barbour used (from one of his campaign headquarters) that was a confederate flag with the inscription, "Keep the flag, change the governor". It worked.

I wish you and I were in a situation to have a serious political discussion without all the name calling. I think we could accomplish alot, but unfortuneately, this is not the place.

If I understand correctly, you are one of the more successful people around here. That takes intelligence. I wish we could be in a situation where that translated better than the back and forth keyboard namecalling that we both do. I just do this for fun because its obvious that most of the people really dont understand politics and maybe thats why my effort is low and I get misunderstood alot. However, I do enjoy real conversations with intelligent people.


Who knows, maybe one day, we shall meet and I'll buy the drinks.
