There are a lot of people who know about domains, but you all need to stop slaming each other and get back to work, there are some big deals in the works these days and all this is a waste of everyones time! it's refreshing to see that a lot of warrior domain people see some of the things that i have been thinking. dombuyer needs to at least buy a little banner here already and establish himself in a new way to have some growth imho, but it's his biz and not mine, nice to catch up with you and everybody have a great weekend! :)

It's nothing to do with post count. It's more to do with the anon nickname aspect WITH a low postcount, coupled with the post where you show
A) a cocky condescending attitude
and
B) an attitude that tells me you are actually someone 'probably' known and established who is using the name "eight", a name I don't ever recall seeing in all my nearing 8 years of experience in this business.

No, I judge no one solely on post count. In fact, I tend to not "judge" anyone per se, with the exception of what they say and how they say it of course. When I choose to take my own business to someone else, I tend to gravitate towards those who I know and preferably those who have exhibited some semblance of grace and professionalism, and who are people of their word.

I find you can tell a lot about a person's character in what they say and how they say it, anon nick or not. However, it's just as much a crap shoot as an exact science. The questionables certainly outweigh the givens by a considerable margin.

You seem like an okay guy, but no, I'm sorry, we can't...That lying sack of shit is tyring to make out to be something he's not. And in the process he's damaging the reputation of people I've know and respected for a long time (and people I don't know, but I'll fucking defend them anyway). Dombuyer is a small time crook who buys crap domains fomr newbies at 20 bucks a pop and sells them at 50 bucks. That doesn't make you cool. (DISCLAIMER: I hear through the grapewine that doing 20-dollar domain deals DOES make you cool in some areas).

So what is your angle in trying to add to the smokescreen? The issue isn't and never was whether Dombuyer offered the best price it was possible to get for the domain in question. Indeed it's hardly likely he did, since where would his margin have been then? The only issue is whether or not Aga gave his word that he would sell that domain for the agreed price and so far I haven't seen him claim that he did not. End of story.

And what is with the crap in your next post about "Respect your betters"? Respect is earned and behaving poorly isn't exactly the way to go.

I couldn't have cared less about the original issue and I wouldn't know Dombuyer, Aga or whoever if I fell over them. But it pisses me off that every time someone is put down for behaving badly, instead of just putting their hands up, they and their crew turn up to bury us in bullshit and snide comments aimed at discrediting their critic. That's a tired old tactic which is an insult to the intelligence of everyone here. If someone doesn't want other people saying negative things about them, it's simple: don't give them cause to do so.

The title of this thread and it's existance really is what I find unprofessional. But I suppose it creates more overall interest and in the end... more business. Drama is like that.

But at some point I find myself wondering... when do we rise above this sort of shit? When is a person "big" enough to just get on with it and get over it and be the bigger person about it? I don't know, it's just the way my mind works.

I like to get into the board drama and slams and burns and kiddy retaliations as much as the next guy, but when it comes to the business side of thnngs that's where it ends.... for me.

And.... a deal is still a deal where I come from. Not taking sides at all here, as I don't claim to know what went down other than what's been posted. I'm just saying that to me a person is only as good as their word, and your word is your bond. I try to live up to that and I expect no less in others who deal with me. Unrealistic? Probably so.... which is why I tend to do most of what I need done myself as opposed to hiring someone.
