As i understand it, Aga was talking to Dorm buyer who was putting huge pressure on aga to sell the domain immediately, Aga told him he wanted a few days to think about it and despite hearing that Dorm buyer sent the escrow thru anyway.

In escrow.com had Aga agreed to the terms?

Yup. As I mentioned in the other thread, I even gave him the option of waiting until he returned from his trip, and that his word was good enough, but he went ahead and confirmed the escrow agreement.

Which is why all the nonsense about being bullied is so pathetic. :(

honestly, it seems he got fucked in this deal imho.

a deal is a deal is a deal. if the seller agreed to the price he offered, then backed out and resold to another buyer at the last min.. dear god id be pissed....

DomBuyer is one of the first people that I would go to if I was in the market to sell or buy a domain.

pradaboy 05-26-2005 06:19 AM

lol Aga you're an idiot!

FACT: you gave your word on the deal
FACT: you backed out when excrow was already on the way
FACT: you went to someone else to sell it

sum that all up and what do you get... SCUM... that's right! Go over to your pathetic shitty messageboard and whine on there about not knowing shit about domains.

that about sums it up if you ask me

Here's a quote from DomBuyer's thread where he posts part of the ICQ logs (posted on the other thread - Post #1):
Quote:

"Just give me your word we're done at $25k, and you can do it tomorrow or something. Fair enough?"

His response (direct from icq logs):

"you have my word I own Netpond.com so you could always come and slag me off on my own board! lol.. hey.. would love for you to pop your head in every now and again.. its where webfather broke his teeth!"

Then he went ahead and decided to just agreee to the escrow.com transaction anyways.

I wired out the money the next day.

Then I get a note from escrow.com that he has cancelled the transaction.

"He doesn't want to sell at the price at this time." the cancellation says.

I'm thinking, WTF!!!??

I honestly have never had someone cancel an agreed-upon escrow. As far as I'm concerned, once someone agrees to escrow and gives me their word, it's a done deal unless someone doesn't pay or someone takes too long to follow through.

Are you saying what DomBuyer pasted is false? If not, regardless of the buying price - which to our understanding, it was your asking price, correct, your word, is your word - in contract, on a handshake or typed up in ICQ.

a quick read told me tried to buy products cheap and sell them expensive. I suspect my local supermarket is trying to do the same, I plan on boykotting them.

damn what a mess, retracting a deal like this sucks though

Tipsy 05-26-2005 09:20 AM

Odd that anyone would start a thread shouting that they can't be trusted to keep their word and aren't the sort of person you'd want to do busines with. Oh well.

As far as I'm concerned, Aga has owned himself here today.

Definitely a red flag that anyone doing future biz with him should take note of. :warning

A few people exposed themselves as a red flag IMO.

xanthias 05-26-2005 11:29 AM

it was about money, end of story. i guess your word isn't good enough these days. get everything in writing so you can sue...

KMR Stitch 05-26-2005 11:33 AM

So, I shouldn't buy low and sell high I should just buy higher and sell high?

PornCritic 05-26-2005 02:20 PM

4 Things I learned from these 2 threads:

1.
You never should make a decision to sell a domain in a hurry.
You will most likely regret it.

2.
You should offer the domains you want to sell to several people since it seems that DomBuyer isn't paying top prices despite the image he has tried to create for himself.
(There is a huge diference between Dombuyer (25k) and Slavik (75k))

3.
You should always keep your word because if you don't it will bite you in the ass in one way or another.

4.
You should avoid people who love publicity if you don't want publicity.
