SEO - Check your google ranking without filters (err)

Supposedly the following page allows you to check any given keywords with both a regular search, and an "unfiltered" search (taking off the sandbox effect and other penalties). I'm no SEO expert, but I found something interesting when I used it for my own personal keywords...

    http://roberttaft.com/no_filter.htm

For KWs "Fitness Plans", "Workout Plans", "Online Personal Trainers", and a mess of other kw's, I'm within the top 2 positions on the unfiltered search (HealthyGo). However, I'm not even within the first 10 pages on those keywords on the normal search. My site has been up for nearly a year, which leads me to believe I really have been penalized or sandboxed, because I don't get SHIT from google, but for these same keywords and plenty of others I get on avg. about 70 uniques a day from yahoo (not much I know, but if only Google would stop being a bitch that would significantly increase)...

Any SEO experts know the validity of this tool?

Does your site have PR? Is it mostly indexed (properly)?
I find it hard to imagine you're in the infamous sandbox this long

Yes www.healthygo.com - check it. PR4 - I have 59 personally written articles all specifically geared towards various keywords, etc... and I don't get more than 1 hit a day from google. So if I'm not "sandboxed", then I can only believe I'm penalized. The only thing I can think that I did "wrong" was get too many reciprocal links too quickly, but some say that shouldn't hurt me.

probably uses that -asdf -asdf -asdf -asdf (do that about 13-15 times) at the end of the query to overload the filters...

no one knows... but if you find your site in those results you are not banned. i agree with you that you have pushed the button too hard and your site appears over-optimised.

The -asdf trick in January did this by negating unused words. The April 4th version here does it by adding ignored words out to 42 words total. The results shown usually are of a higher page count than the regular results indicating some filters have been disabled. If you found this site, you are already connected to the SEO world and should be able to draw your own conclusions as to the results

I show up for tons of my phrases using the unfiltered results so i'm doing something right even though google only gives me about 40-50 hits per day. Yahoo on the other hand...

yahoo/msn = easier to get listed and get good listings.

so... what if i'm nr.1 with a very good keyword (unfiltered) and not findable in the normal results... do you guys think i would get listed good in the normal results when i screw down the optimation a bit? or is a penalized site lost forever :-(
