    Ad-Scence technology reversed for search engine users ?

    They search based on the user interest to a certain subject ... that could get interesting

      Not a bad concept. But you need to be at the top of your niche in the listings, or you are giving away your traffic.

          Yes it does seem kinda dumb. I can't see the advantage in making it easier for your surfers to find your competitors.

          You can control what topics you are listed for so maybe you can abuse it so all the results are your pages. But then why have it, might as well just have an internal search box if anything.

          It seems to be only useful if you want to make Joe Surfer's life a little easier, at your own expense.

              Oz I'm not talking about this specific thing here ....

              I'm talking about the general idea ... establishing surfers habbits and wants ... and giving them the search result they need .

              This could be really abused ... but if it isn't ... knowing the surfers habbits is always good ... analysing it to find the best search results possible could change a lot of stuff

                      Really it sounds dumb to me, why give your traffic away to sies that are like yours atleast give it people you do not compete with.

                                  From what I have read, the only people who will be collecting surfer data on this will be Google. You put it on a page and Google decides what your page is about and displays relevent search results OF YOUR COMPETITORS unless you own 1-10 1-20 whatever results.

                                  If you have access to what search terms they used when they didn't find what they wanted on your site etc different story.
