Without friends and family what would you spend the money on? Yourself? You'd still be lonely, 50k only buys you so much time in the champagne room. So of the best times of my life were had spent with friends and family, doing nothing. Just hanging out.

people always say nothing could be worse than dying alone. i've watched two close people to me die and to be honest when you're dying it looked to me like it really didn't matter who was around - it was more whoever could make them feel a little better and that was a complete stranger - either a nurse or a doctor.

as far as a friend goes, it would depend on how deep the friendship was. and to me it must be a recipicol thing,

I mean there are people I would walk into hell for, and not care if they were right or wrong, I would fight until death for them.

But on the same token I know they would do it for me as well.

Then there are friends that I work with and do stuff with, but I know in the end they would sell me out, then yes, there is a price on that friendship at some point .
