My house is being invaded by all kinds of freaky insects!!

When I came back recently from vacation, I discovered the maid had left a pineapple peel in the trash can for awhile, so I have a ton of fruitflies being born. I got rid of the trash, dishes, etc...so hopefully the breeding ground is gone now and they will soon all die.

Now, I found one GIANT flying beatle in my house, but he's too fast for me so far...I was chasing him, but now he's in hiding. Also a hope bug / preying mantis type thing was around too.

Where are the damn Geckos and spiders when I really need them ??

Ok I took care of the beatle! He was crawling around on the floor in an attempt to be silent, so I came up from behind, caught him and threw him out a window.

the lady next door informed me the other day that she had an exterminator there because her house was infested with a poisonous spider - some weird combo of brown recluse and black widow.

She said the guy looked over the fence and say some of their webs in the bushes along side my house.

I went looking but did not see anything different. I think he was just trying to drum up extra business, but I will admit that I do pay a little more attention now when I am out in the yard.
